SOLAR — space strategy game · last updated: 13 September 2026
In two sentences. SOLAR only collects what it needs to let you play online: an email address, a player name and the history of your games. No advertising, no audience-measurement tool, no resale of data, and nothing leaves your device in offline solo mode.
The game is published by TitanCorp, inc. For any question about your data: contact@solar-game.com.
| Data | Why | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and player name (by default, the part of the email before the “@”) | Create your account, recognise you from one device to another, send you the summary of your games | As long as your account exists |
| Password | Protect your account. It is stored hashed (scrypt): nobody, not even the publisher, can read it | As long as your account exists |
| Session token | Keep you signed in without retyping your password | Expires after 90 days without use |
| Games in progress (full state of the board, turn, pending decisions) | Resume a game after a disconnection, a refresh or a change of device | Until the end of the game, or until a player deletes it |
| Finished games (scores, full log of the game, bug reports you entered) | Send you the game report, understand and fix the game's defects | The last 10 games per player; older ones are erased |
The game records neither your real name, nor your date of birth, nor your location, nor the contents of your device.
contact@solar-game.com to each human player of the game. The publisher, for its part, receives technical notifications: new registration, game finished, game stuck (with a server diagnosis), bug report. They serve only to run and repair the game.
A game played without being signed in lives only on your device: the automatic save is made in the local storage of the browser or of the app. Nothing is sent to a server.
If the app closes abnormally or a game freezes, it keeps a diagnostic report on your device and offers to send it the next time it opens; you can also do it yourself ("Report a problem"). Nothing is sent unless you tap Send, and you can read the report first.
It contains: the device model and its system version, the app version, the log of the current game, technical error messages and, if you write one, your comment. It contains no name, address, account, contacts, location or advertising identifier. It is used solely to fix the game, it is not shared with anyone and it is deleted once the defect is dealt with (at the latest after 12 months).
The game server is hosted by OVH (European Union). Emails are sent from an OVH mailbox. Like any host, OVH keeps technical logs which may contain your IP address and the time of connection; they serve security and troubleshooting, and are not cross-referenced with your game account. Exchanges between your device and the server are encrypted (HTTPS / WSS).
Processing rests on the performance of the service you request by creating an account (the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection, nFADP, and the GDPR for players in the European Union), and on the publisher's legitimate interest in keeping the game running and fixing its defects.
Deleting your account is done directly in the game: sign-in screen → “Delete my account”, then your password to confirm. This erases your account, your sessions on all your devices, your games in progress against the computer and your archived games; in other players' archives, your address is replaced by a blank. In a game in progress with other players, your nation is handed to the computer so that their game can go on.
You can also request access to your data, their rectification or a copy of them by writing to contact@solar-game.com from your account's address. Reply within 30 days. A game in progress can be deleted from the “Resume a game” screen.
The game is not aimed at children under 13 and knowingly collects no data about them. If you think a child has created an account, write to us: it will be deleted.
During the test phase, the full log of games may be read by the publisher to understand a reported defect. This log only contains game events (colonisations, battles, cards played), never private messages — the game does not offer any.
This page may evolve with the game; the date at the top shows the latest version. An important change will be announced on the sign-in screen.
